What Does It Take To “Be The Change”?

It takes a strong conviction and a resolve to continue to do what you believe in, even after the people behind you have given up.

There is a great sense of satisfaction in returning to a place that gives you a sense of joy. Paranga Vidya Kendra is one such place where each time we visit there is something much more to be had. This “much-more” feeling stays for a very long time after you have returned to the hustle and bustle of daily normal life.

In our third year of volunteering so far, adopting schools that need a little help and push, we came across Paranga and started computer education classes for over 350 kids in the school. We continued this with library classes concentrating on reading and comprehension skills. I have visited the school over 12 times in the last six to seven months making me one amongst the people at Paranga. I urge you to start volunteering and choose a place. The first visit to a school is exciting, but the second visit onwards it bears the fruit of satisfaction.

That joy of having the kids at school smile and whisper amongst themselves… “Sunil Sir bandru “ is a fascinating feeling. Nothing in the world can beat the goosebumps I feel when I hear that.

Working with MyStyle Communications for over a year, Sujyothi and Sowmya have seen me escape to this tranquil temple of knowledge every 2nd and 4th Saturday and they too came to Paranga to join in. Teaching the kids there about reading books, hygiene at home, telling them stories, the team of MyStyle Communications made the day memorable for them as well as the kids. Also, we took to distributing stationary to more than 300 kids at the school. The team of MyStyle Communications spread smiles to many kids.
Charity they say begins at home. The next generation distributed stationery while learning humility and the discovering the joy of giving!
